Jade Plant soft leaves

Thin, creased leaves on a firm stem in dry mix usually indicate depleted water reserves. Translucent or wet-soft leaves, especially over damp soil, suggest tissue damage.

Choose water or a root inspection

Water a genuinely dry root ball thoroughly and drain, then allow it to dry before repeating. If the pot is wet, empty runoff. Inspect roots if leaves keep declining or the base softens, and remove only roots that are actually collapsed or mushy.
