Check the clues before you water again. Wet soil plus drooping is very different from dry soil plus drooping.

The soil is still damp 5 to 7 days after watering.Lower leaves are yellowing while the pot still feels heavy.The plant is drooping even though the soil is wet.There are fungus gnats around the soil surface.The pot has weak drainage or sits inside a cachepot with water.The stems, crown, or roots smell sour or feel soft.

Wet soil is not the main clue

These answers do not point strongly toward overwatering. Check dry soil, light, humidity, and pests next.

Use pot weight and soil depth instead of a calendar.
Check leaf undersides for pests if spotting or curling is present.
Review light if growth is leggy or soil dries very slowly.
