Editorial Policy
Plant Problem Lab helps you work out why a houseplant is struggling and what to do about it. Each guide starts with things you can check at home, such as leaf texture, soil moisture, and drainage.
What we prioritize
- Details that distinguish one cause from another.
- Instructions suited to the plant, its roots, and its growing conditions.
- A clear next step when the first adjustment does not help.
Sources and limits
Articles link to university extension services, botanical gardens, and horticultural organizations for care and treatment guidance. A leaf mark alone cannot identify every pest or disease, so we explain what else to inspect. Product directions depend on the formulation and its approved uses; follow the label on the product you have.
Updates
The date on an article changes when we revise its content. When two guides answer the same question, we combine the useful material and keep the old address working through a redirect.
Advertising and independence
Check pages are designed to remain clean and focused. Article pages may contain advertising placements, but editorial recommendations are not written to favor an advertiser.
