Wrinkled leaves show that water delivery is inadequate. Firm roots in dry medium may need water; collapsed roots in wet medium cannot be repaired with another soak.

Firm roots, nearly dry medium

Water thoroughly and let the pot drain completely. Check the center of a moss or bark root ball, which may stay wet after exposed roots turn silvery. Keep water out of the leaf crown.

Collapsed roots or decomposed medium

Trim dead roots with clean scissors and replace broken-down medium. Follow the orchid root rot guide. Retain sound roots and watch for fresh root tips; older wrinkled leaves may not fully regain their original firmness.
