Peace Lily brown tips

Check whether the newest leaves have brown points or only older leaves are marked. Tip damage may follow repeated wilting, excess fertilizer salts, hot airflow, or damaged roots.

Start with water reaching the roots

When the upper mix begins to dry, water evenly through the root ball and drain the pot. If water runs down a gap at the edge, apply it slowly in several passes. Keep the plant away from a heater or vent.

Crust, fertilizer, and trimming

White deposits suggest salts are accumulating, without identifying which salt. When a healthy-rooted plant is due for water, run water through the mix and discard the runoff; reduce excessive feeding. A wet, wilting plant needs its roots checked before flushing. Trim dead tips with a narrow brown margin left beside the green tissue.
