Croton brown tips

Croton leaves naturally contain yellow, red, and orange patterns. A dry brittle point or margin is damaged tissue; a firm colored area is not necessarily a problem.

Check moisture and exposure

Water evenly when the upper mix dries and drain the pot. Move leaves away from cold glass or heating airflow. Reduce excessive fertilizer if deposits are building around the pot.

If tips brown alongside dusty stippling, sticky residue, or falling leaves, inspect undersides for mites, scale, and mealybugs. Retain healthy colored foliage and trim dead points only for appearance.
