Boston Fern yellow leaves
Yellow fronds can follow drought or waterlogging. Feel the root ball and check the decorative pot; do not decide from the color of one frond.
Match the next watering to the root ball
Rehydrate dry mix slowly, then drain. Remove standing water from a wet pot and let the surface begin drying while the center remains lightly moist. Sour mix, persistent wilt, or a soft crown calls for a root check.
If only old shaded inner fronds yellow, provide brighter indirect light and remove fully spent fronds. Keep new green fiddleheads clear of pruners and avoid strong fertilizer while roots are damaged.
